Powys school head teachers have voiced their concerns over proposed cuts in education services, and the transfer of some costs to school budgets. They claim the proposals will affect children’s education and increase teacher workloads.
Powys county council plan to cut school swimming pool transport and school central library services, and Powys schools will have to pay for arts provision and computer maintenance costs out of their own budgets if proposals are approved.
Powys Against Cuts in Education (P.A.C.E.) have asked councillors to reject the plan.
